| Two workpiece
spindle heads and two cross slide systems in a single machine The independent
grinding stations in the single machine are individually capable of producing
one complete workpiece. The result: Reducing footprint, capital
investment and cycle time while achieving double the output! Machine
uptime Having two independent work zones in the IPRO Twin Zone will allow
to perform simultanous tool changes and preventative maintenance in station 1
while station 2 is in full production mode. One time machine components
such as machine base, control unit, periphery systems, coolant system and exhaust
fans are utilizied most efficiently being shared between the two work-zones.
The output of the highly effiecient IPRO Twin Zone produces workpieces
at a rate that fully utilizes the capabilities of external automation and measuring
systems.
Clamping in a Chuck At the workpiece spindle head our precision angular
ball bearing guarantees concentricity accuracy of 0.3 µm.
Grinding non round profiles? The addition of a CNC controlled C-axis
can be the solution for grinding non-cylindrical workpieces.
Taper compensation Optional taper compansation located under the workpiece
spindle head utilizing a CNC or manually controlled B-axis.
Locating in a V-block fixture No workpiece
spindle head, no tailstock A well-proven work holding fixture where the workpiece
is located on diamond (or carbide) inserts and driven against an axial deadstop
by rollers set at an angle. Loading / unloading workpieces into the V-block
fixture via high speed loading device. The possibilities are highly
diverse and flexible. Challenge our expertise for your manufacturing
